About the survey.
- A nationwide internal employee survey conducted in 2008 by the International Survey Research component of Towers Perrin, the global professional services firm.
- 3,697 Associates participated, a 79% rate that exceeded by several percentage points even the high-end completion rate of surveys by similar companies.
- Associates rated 11 key categories: Communication, Associate Engagement, Teamwork and Collaboration, Manager Effectiveness, Client Focus, Leadership and Direction, Work Organization and Efficiency, Performance Management, Innovation, Training and Development, Pay and Benefits.
- Associate Engagement was measured by a set of defined items:
Rational items – ([1] I believe strongly in the goals and objectives of TD AMERITRADE. [2] I fully support the values for which TD AMERITRADE stands.). Emotional items – ([3] I am proud to be associated with TD AMERITRADE. [4] I would recommend TD AMERITRADE as a good place to work.)
